Britney Smart

Britney Smart is a Research Manager in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at NorthShore University Health System. Ms. Smart completed her undergraduate education at Skidmore College and received her Master's in Public Health with a concentration in Social Epidemiology from DePaul University. Ms. Smart currently works with an interdisciplinary team conducting research on how psychosocial stress contributes to disparities in perinatal outcomes. She is specifically interested in understanding the impacts of structural racism on the lived experiences and health of women of color and birthing people and in using evidence-based approaches to improving pregnancy outcomes.
