For Employers

What is Chicago Field Studies?

Chicago Field Studies (CFS) is an intensive one-quarter academic internship program based on principles of experiential and comparative learning. Northwestern University sophomores, juniors, and seniors earn academic credit by participating in a seminar style CFS course that connects with an internship relating to the student’s career interests. Students intern at Chicago area organizations between 10 and 40 hours a week depending on their availability. These internship experiences serve as a source of information for class discussions and assignments.

Why work with us?
