Tawny Spinelli is pursuing her JD/PhD in clinical psychology in the Mental Health Services and Policy Program (MHSPP) at Northwestern University. She is interested in researching ways to mitigate the effects of trauma in child welfare and juvenile justice populations through prevention, intervention, and policy. Previously, Tawny has worked for the United States Department of Justice, the Tennessee Department of Health, and the Tennessee Governor’s Children’s Cabinet. In addition, she spent a year in India teaching science and grappling with public health issues, after completing her undergraduate degree at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. In her spare time, you'll find Tawny hiking, doing yoga, or playing guitar.
