Andrew Day

Andrew Day was born in Florence, Alabama to a military family. He moved pretty often growing up, living on military bases in/near San Francisco, California; Mountain View, California; Atlanta, Georgia; and Fort Knox, Kentucky. Prior to moving to Chicago for graduate school he lived in Austin, Texas where he worked as a field organizer at Texas Campaign for the Environment during the Texas state legislative session, organizing to pass legislation related to electronics recycling and single-use plastic bags ban. He earned his masters degree here at Northwestern University with two first fields: International Relations and Political Theory. Currently, he is writing his dissertation prospectus on Thomas Hobbes and the English Civil War. As far as his personal interests and hobbies, he is something of a film nerd and recently took up kayaking in the summer.
